Create Friendster application
 
This tutorial walks you through the process of creating a Friendster application. Just follow few simple steps as described below and see your application live in minutes!
 
 
 
Start at Corners
 
Step 2:
In "My Desk" page @ Corners, click the "Create new application link", as illustrated in this picture.
 
Step 3:
3.1.    Select friendster as the Host.     

3.2.    Fill the form fields instructed below.    (Click the link for a picture)
Application Name:       (Enter the title of your application. Eg:-Sachintendulkar)
Description:       (Description of the Application)
Corner Url Name       The last part of a corner url link. Example: In http://www.corners.in/corners/britneyspears', the url name is britneyspears. Note that there are no spaces in the url name."
Friendster Email Id:       (Email id of user. It should be same as Friendster registered email id)
Your Location:       (Location is a place where you live. e.g. India)
Upload Icon:       (Upload an Icon of 15x15 Size)
Thumbnail:       (Upload a Thumbnail of 75x75 Size)
Screenshot:       (Upload a Screenshot)

 
Step 4:
Click the Submit button.
 
Step 5:
Select the URL link (as in illustration) and copy it.
 
 
 
Add application to Friendster
 
Step 6:
6.1.    Login to friendster (http://www.friendster.com/)

6.2.    Now go to Friendster developer page(http://www.friendster.com/developer) and click on Get API key, click here to see the Picture

6.3. Fill the form fields instructed below.   
Application Name:       (Enter the title of your application. Examples: Shah Rukh Khan, Nightlife in London, iPhone)
Platform:       (Select Platform as "OpenSocial".)
OpenSocial App XML URL:       (Paste the URL link (copied in previous step) to the text-box.)

6.4.   Enter the secret code and Save it.

6.5.   Application will be created and will be shown @ the Developer page.
         (created Application might not be shown immediately, may take time to show up)
 

Step 7:
7.1.    When the application shows up @ the Developer page, then click on "Test App"    click here to see the Picture

7.2.   You should now be in your Application page. The page displays the Friendster Application ID. Select and copy the Friendster Application ID.

 
 
 
 
One last step @ Corners
 
Finally
   Go back to your Corners Application page, and paste the Application ID in "Enter App ID" field, and SAVE.

REFRESH THE BROWSER WITH YOUR APP.
 
 
 
Submission of the App
 
    Go back to your Friendster Developers page, click on "Manage Apps" and click on the button "Submit to app directory" click here to see the Picture
